Hi guys,

I have a 1999 S70 AWD and I having be having a problem with the front passenger side door lock. The power door lock will lock from either the inside switch or the FOB but I can't open it with either. All the other doors open/ close with the FOB and switch but not this door. Do I have a bad door acuator?

 

The electric actuators are all going out on these vehicles, surprised you haven't had others go bad. Get a new one, (used ones may be on their last leg also) and plan on spendinding the better part of a day doing it, while door is apart you may need to replace the opening stop, light bulbs on the window and lock switches and repair the spring in the latch handle as well if they need it. buy a 1/2 dozen retaing clips for the door panel, the break easily.

 

Is there a video on youtube for this repair? My wife's '98 S70 is having issues with the door locks. Thanks for the help.

 

I'm having the same issue and not sure if I need to replace the door lock or electric actuators.

Problem: can't open passenger door from inside. inside handle will not move. door lock can electronically lock and unlock. able to open passenger door from outside. to open door from inside i need open the passenger window and open from the outside.

I found a youtube video to replace the door lock. not sure if this is what i need to do.

 

Yep. Have extra clips on hand or the door panel, replace any burnt out bulbs on switches, replace door stop at same time if needed.
