Hello all. I now have 154k on my 2000 s70, when I looked at my tires today I noticed both of them were worn badly on the outside edge. The previos owner told me I may need some outer tie rods soon, but that was about a year ago. Is that what may be causing this wear? I had a alignment about 9 months ago.

 

outer tie rods simply make the wheel bounce straight up and down when you hit a bump. If your tie rods out out you will hit a small bump and it will be very loud since the wheel is bouncing all over. I would get the tires rotated first then see if the front ones wear the same.

 

Ok. Will do. What suspension parts are common for wearing out that may cause this.
