Default Parts Suggestions

Greeting all,

My first official post. Now that I have my S70 for a day, things I need are coming to light. I need rear brake pads & struts all around. I have heard Volvo's are finicky when it comes to electrical things. What brand pads & struts would you recommend? As far as the struts, I am not a performance oriented guy. I want safe & reliable. Thanks.

Check IPD.com, FCP Euro.com, or Rockauto.com You will find endless choices.based on your budget If you are going to do brake pads, I suggest changing the rotors at the same time. Yes, Volvo's are kind of finicky, but mostly ignition parts. Always go with OEM spark plugs, or at the very least NGK, Otherwise, I have run into minor issues with misfiring.

Thanks. I went with Bosch pads. What about light bulbs? I've read about tail light issues. My bulb out indicator flickers sometimes when I apply the brakes. All bulbs are working.

Never had a serious bulb issue. I would remove the bulbs, clean the connectors and make sure the bulbs seat in the connector tightly.
