Default Plulse Plugs

I was wondering if anyone got a chance to try pulse plugs in their S70. Since the car seems to be unreasonably sensitive to different plug types I figured I’d ask this before upgrading my 2000 S70 to these plugs. It would be nice to gain a little extra HP and fuel mileage, but not if the you gurus are going to tell me it won’t run properly with them. I really can’t imagine why it wouldn’t, but better safe then sorry and you all seems to know tons about these cars. Otherwise I will probably just go with NGK Iridium’s like I have in my ’92 Miaita.

Everything I've read about Pulstar plugs sounds like a smoke- and- mirrors type scam. They say that the plugs somehow magically increase the "power" of the spark from 50 watts to 500 watts. This is pure bull pucky- the "power" of the spark comes from the ignition coil- whatever the coil can produce is what the spark plug gets- if the coil is throwing out 50 watts, you're getting 50 watts. You can't magically up that to 500 watts. Besides, spark ignition systems are high voltage low current systems- ignition coils, depending on the car, produce 25,000 to 200,000 volts at very low amperage- that's why you don't die when you get shocked by a coil. There have been lots of "magical" spark plugs and other "silver bullet" snake- oil solutions over the years, and I'm willing to bet this is another one. Let's put it this way: if an automaker could increase both the output AND fuel economy of their engines by 5-10% just by using a different type of spark plug, these plugs would become standard equipment overnight in almost every car made. I wouldn't buy into the hype on these

Oh, and contrary to popular belief, and I might get called out for this, our cars are NOT "particular" about spark plugs. Any good quality plug with the right specifications and gap setting will work just fine.
