Default QUICK need your opinion

Thinking of buying this and want the communities opinion. Best case scenario guy pulled over as soon as he noticed he dumped the coolant, got it towed and didn't let it overheat (potentially a steal for me). Worst case scenario is what: blown head gasket, warped/cracked head? So far I've only seen one pic (passenger side exterior) that doesn't help and haven't heard from the owner. What do you guys think?

I HAVE A 1999 S70 VOLVO ALL BLACK INSIDE AND OUT WITH LEATHER SEATS WITH 149K MILES ON IT. THE FAN MOTOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE FAN MOTOR DOES NOT KICK ON AND THE COOLANT LEAKED ALL OUT SO I BEEN PUTTING WATER IN IT. ONCE IN A WHILE IT WILL SHOOT OUT STEAM , IM GUESSING FROM THE FAN NOT KICKING ON.IT DOES STILL DRIVE BUT I DO DONT DRIVE IT NOMORE BECAUSE I HAVE ANOTHER AND I SUGGEST YOU DO NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL IT IS FIXED SO NO MAJOR PROBLEMS OCCUR. I AM ASKING 500$ TOMORROW AFTERNOON IF NOT I WILL JUST GET IT TOWED AWAY FOR CHARITY.

Charity car; let it go; unless you want it for parts...

Question $ 500. For a 99 s70

Let me say that this could be a great deal if you need parts for another one or maybe even a nice second car depending on what all is really wrong with it.
Make sure you check it out real good before you buy. The overheating could be something as easy as a thermostat sticking. But I wouldn't buy it site unseen. Good luck with your decision.

Guys saying to let it go are probably right. It's hard for the price if everything else is in good shape though. I'm just speculating though, still haven't heard back from the owner so I'll let you guys know what happens.

If it starts, it probably has hope. I let one go a week ago because it would not start, just crank. The thing is, you can find a running car for $1,500 - $2,000 that does not have overheating problems.
