Default Radio removal - Ipod Adapter Install

I'm looking at getting a Blitzsafe Ipod adapter and was just wondering:
1. Who has done it, do you like it?
2. How difficult was the install?

Seems like you just pop out the radio, plug it in, run the Ipod cable out and you're good to go.

I've installed headunits on a number of cars and Ipod adaptors on a couple as well so it shouldn't be hard, just curious as to any thoughts. Thanks!

1. I have done it.

2. Simple 5 minute install.

You plug it into the CD changer outlet on the back, splice into the 12v source and run the cable and your set.

I'm thinking about getting one of the Blitzsafe adapters, and forgive my teenage ignorance, but what/how do you splice?

You splice the 12v line from the adapter into the 12v line in the radio wiring harness.

You use a splicer like this.

I installed a few ipod adapters that did not require a wire splice. Also, the connector that came with the kit allowed the radio to control the iPod. Maybe you should check the adapters that they have here out: http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/mycar.aspx?

You will have to enter your car info.
