Remote Starter - 2000 S70
Hey guys,
Wondering if any has an idea for price range for a remote starter install on a 2000 S70 Auto. I'm in central Alberta, and I'm getting quoted prices around $850 CDN installed for a two-way, LCD system. That seem reasonable? Friend of mine back in Detroit says it can be done for $200 installed, so I'm not sure if that person just doesn't know what they're dealing with with the immobilizer and what not, or if the prices here are just crazy?
Any help, info, suggestions much apprecciated.

RE: Remote Starter - 2000 S70
Well, no one's responded. But in case any one else runs into this question...
I did have it installed at Vibe Car Audio, in Red Deer, AB. My final cost was just under $850. The model they installed was the Autostart AS-2451TW-FM. They did a great job. Will definetly be going back for more work there.
Only caveat is that the seat heaters won't go on until I transfer control over to the ignition key, once I'm in the car. The rear/mirror defrost also doesn't stay on, but that's a feature that always resets to the "off" position when the car is turned off.
Next up is a radar detector, followed by a MP3/Nav headunit.

Interesting issue with the seats. I suppose any part of power distribution that has a separate set of contacts in the physical ignition switch creates a requirement for an extra output from the remote starter brain. I hadn't thought about that before, but on my collector cars several of them wouldn't be able to run the heater if autostarted. I don't do that, but it would be a problem.
