Default Replaced MAF now have code P0102 and stalling issues.

So recently I had issues with dying while accelerating. Anyway, replaced fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor, distributor, battery and MAF sensor. Seemed like it ran fine in warmer weather until the last couple of days where I get hesitation while accelerating sometimes. It has not died again yet thankfully. I get only one code on the diagnostic, P0102. I checked the air filter and it's still pretty new but I cleaned it out a bit anyway. Starts fine and idles mostly smooth at about 600-700 rpm's and will seem fine (like today for example) on the way to get my son from school it ran great then an hour later on the way home more hesitations. I hate that I am getting used to this because it makes my nerves shake every time in fear it will die again. I am the most novice of mechanics so any help or ideas in simple terms would be great. BTW it's a 1998 s70 2.3L turbo with 269k miles on it.

P0102 code unfortunately points to the MAF sensor either bad or going bad. I know you said you replaced it recently, but you may have gotten a defective part. Do you still have the old MAF sensor? If so, put it back in and see if that helps. If not, then check all the work that you recently did to make sure everything is tight and properly connected. One thing you can try is unplugging the MAF and see what effect it has. If you do it will cause a check engine code, but the car will either run a little better with the MAF unplugged or it will stall. I'm pretty much leaning toward the fact you have a MAF going bad.

Have you checked the fuel pump relay? It should be replaced every 10 years.

Is it leaking oil at all? I have had several where the cam seals will pop out. If the one inside the distributor pops out, it'll sputter or die once in a while. You should have a noticeable leak on the ground if that is the problem, though, and it assumes that the MAF code is not the actual problem. The good news is it's extremely easy to fix.

If you clear the code and it comes back just as the car dies, then I'd be more concerned to look at whether the MAF wiring is being interfered with.
