Im puzzled, please clarify and please let me win a bet. My buddy says he can put 15 inch tires on 16 inch rims, I say impossible. He has stock s70 with 15 inch rims and 195/60/r15. He bought some used rims from a 1998 xc 70 which has 16 inch X 7.5 rims and wants to install his old tires...who wins the $20

 

16 Inch tires WILL NOT fit on 15 inch rims. Or Vise Versa

 

The inside diameter of a 15 inch tyre.............is 15 inches. The inside diameter of a 16 inche tyre is...............16 inches. The outside diameter of a 16 inch rim is................16 inches. How ya gonna stretch a 15 inch tyre onto a 16 inch rim?? As they say in Alabama............ain't gonna happen!
