S70 Cooling Fan
Hey guys got a little bit of a problem with my 98 non turbo s70. Cant put my finger on it but as I'm driving at days when its really cold out my check engine light turns on followed by my cooling fan. After that my heat just dies and i get cold air blowing. When i get to where ever I'm going I pop my hood and pull out the fuse for the fan. It turns off and so does my check engine sign. So if you guys have any clue to what is going on please let me know. Thanks
I had the same problem with my fan on my 1999 S70. I unplugged it, the CEL went out eventually, replaced the thermostat, plugged the fan back in and haven't had problems since.
I believe the temperature sensor is located in the thermostat housing. You'll see the wires under the hose.
