alright, as some of you may know i just got my 1998 s70 GLT and am loving the hell out of it. aside from some "real" but minor i need to tend to i am dying not being able to transport my bike or kayak.

i have figured these are my options any wisdom is much appreciated:

1. the Thule route. i have found the parts for good prices used online. so this includes the foot (which is needed to attach to the car since there arent any factory racks and no rain gutters), the crossbars and then the "fit kit". i am ok with this but i think they tend to look like big ugly bricks.

2. am i able to get factory racks (with or without cross bars) from an 850 wagon (the skinny kind) install them on my '98 S70?

i saw in another forum that they'd certainly fit a 98-00 V70. so if it's possible i would scour scrap yards and online dealers then get the "850" adapters from Thule which are little more low-profile than the feet.

well i hate to bump my own post, but just wanted to double check if no one could help me on this one.

essentially i am wondering if the slim euro-roof rack from the 850 Wagons will fit on my 1998 s70.

i read elsewhere that they fit on 98-00 v70s.
