I keep getting a check engine light. The code is P0410 Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction. Here is some background. I replaced my Secondary Air Pump 6 months ago when it started making loud noises. Now a few weeks ago I get the P0410 code, I replaced the relay and cleared out the code. Now the code comes back after several hundred miles. Any thoughts on this problem? Should I replace the solenoid?

 

Have you inspected the Valve at the back top of the engine?

Remove the Valve and put vaccum to it and make sure it opens and closes. They will also get clogged as well.
Another thing to is the Vaccum elbow will break and then not open the valve sometimes.

 

I am having the same problem with my 1998 v70 non turbo. i cant opperate this search too well. it keeps telling me there are tooo many posts about code 410 or "air" in secondary air system. im new to this place and know the info is here somewhere i just cant access it. i would like to check my valve and the pump. would you please explain to me where they are located. thank you. -patrick-
