Default somewhat urgent - check engine light

My cars (1999 s70 t5) check engine light is on and I have to get a smog check.

The light has been on for about 2 months and when it came on I had the PCV system replaced and I also put in IPD's tcv (turbo control valve).

The 2 codes are:

P0237 - generic turbo/super charger boosr senson sensor A circut low.
And P00236 - generic turbo/super charger boost sensor A circut range/performance.

So do the codes have anything to do with the PCV or the TCV? My dad has a 00glt and I can switch some parts out for the smog just not sure what part trips the code.

Any help would be awesome! Thank you.

Sounds like the TCV to me. Do you still have the stock one? I think I read somewhere where you have to leave the stock boost solenoid connected to the harness or it sets codes. Don't quote me on that though.

i have the stock one, just put it back on and its only showing the P0237 code..

i replaced the old one because it was showing a code but don't remember if that was the one..

when i clear the code it still shows before i start the car. ill clear it and check it right after and its still showing. why is that?

Because something is wrong. Are you certain it is hooked up properly and there are no vac leaks? How does the car run? I suggest getting on IPD's website and reading about the TCV you bought. Im almost positive there was something that has to be done to adapt it to the car.

Well i have a boost gauge, you have to "break it in" by running it as so many pounds of boost.. which i did. ill go back and re-read the site to see if it says anything else. but i did but put my old TCV on and its still showing the code.

What does it mean when i reset the code and it appears immediately after when i check it again, before i even start the car?
I though that i would have to start the car for it to trip the code and it to show again?

maybe its different if its electrical?

Have you had the dealer check it out? You may have to get a good stock TCV and install it. However, I doubt that the new TCV would toss a code around like that or no one would use them.
