I removed the ABS module completely because I will repalce it with a used one. I read on other volvo sites that the car can be driven without it; just no ABS will be available. The fuse for the ABS has been pulled.

Anyway, is the speedo and ODO tied into the ABS module?

In park the ODO does display the mileage. As soon as you get into any gear it goes out.

I just did an engine swap on this car so maybe something was left unhooked but I doubt it.

Where exactly is the speedo and ODO system interface with the drivetrain?

 

If the module is removed the speedo and odometer are dead.
