Default SRS Light

I have a 1999 Volvo S70 and my SRS light just came on. When I start my car, it flashes once, and then stays lit.

What exactly does that mean? Is there anything I can do about it?

I checked my owner's manual and it just says to take it to a Volvo Dealership but I don't really have the time or the money to do that.

I have owned this car since June '09 when it had 185,000 miles on it. I now have 210,000 on it and haven't had any major issues. I LOVE this car, but I hate these minor problems that randomly show up. So if you could provide any help with this, that would be great!

You might need to take it in and have them scan the system.. See what the fault comes up as.

+1, too general to make an accurate diagnosis, my 1st guess is seat related.

If neither the time or money, then do nothing. See if someone is nearby in RL or online that may have an SRS reset tool you could use. Minor problems are better than the major ones.

Just keep in mind if the SRS system has a fault, then it most likely will NOT deploy in an emergency!!
