I have replaced the steering lock with a second hand unit complete with key
barrel. I now cannot get engine to start. Fuel pump is working and there is
spark at the plugs.The car is a 1997 S70. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Gary, have you gotten the car started yet? Cars need 4 things to start and run. Fuel, spark, air, compression. Have you checked compression?

 

I got the engine started. The problem was the antenna ring on the key barrel. I needed
to mount old key barrel with antenna ring with wires connected under the dashboard so
the immobiliser would allow the engine to start with new key.
