Hello,

I've been driving my 99 volvo s70 for about 2 years now, and just recently the steering wheel has a little "give" to it on the road...

I can turn the steering wheel about 2 inches left or right before the tires respond appropriately. Also, when I turn left or right, I hear a clicking sound in the steering wheel.

What could this be? I hope I'm not going to die. I have to drive this car everyday delivering pizzas and can't afford any expensive repairs.

What have you done to check it out? Have you removed your tires up front to see if anything is loose or looks broken?

 

Sounds like the tie rod ends are worn. What's the mileage on the car? Have you had any suspension parts changed?
