No, but you can mod the tape deck, I have only seen it done on a benz.
AUX in on W203 radio modification complete! - MBWorld.org Forums
Picasa Web Albums - Eric Long - Mercedes Radi...

You can use a cassette adapter. Also, you can go to Crutchfield's website and order an adapter.

well the reason i'm looking for an aux port is because I have tried a tape adapter in the past, and what a came up with was if i turned the stereo full blast, and my mp3 player full blast i could kind of make out which song was playing quietly in the background. this being the age of the CD I don't have a separate tape to test my stereo with. So I don't know if it is:
  1. A problem with my tape deck (wife's car does not have a tape deck)
  2. A problem with my tape adapter (I don't have a second one)
  3. a problem with the connection between the tape adapter and my mp3 player (i've seen issues with jacks just not fitting properly and having strange echos and such)
thanks for the link about the merc aux port mod. seems like something worth looking into

I have never seen one of those, how does it read it? Will it work with the standard SC-816 stereo?

That thing looks awsome but I bet it will cost more than a nice new stereo.

The stereo in my wagon has a remote. When I seen that I thought, this is stupid. Now I love it.

haven't really thought about my stereo lately been riding my bike. but now that the temperature is dipping below freezing it's time to migrate back to the car...

anyone tried this? (although i would modify the directions to put a female 3.5mm jack on the front of the unit instead of running a hardwired cable all the way out.

looks pretty easy and it essentially taps directly into the tape unit's output.
