Tire Squeals, bumps stronger, after Tie-rods changed
I just finished installing inner and outer tie rods on my 98 S70 T5.
I counted the turns while removing the outer tie rod to avoid an alignment job, and installed them using the same amount of turns.
After completing the install, I noticed a much better steering response and ease of turning at slower speeds. However, whenever I went over a bump I felt much more of it in the steering, as though the wheels completely turn slightly especially over 60kph. Also, while making sweeping turns I heard some tire squeal.
Do I need an alignment job? Is there a way i can do it in my driveway?

You can try to count the turns, but you need an alignment. First of all, counting the turns assumes the alignment was correct to start. And second, it doesn't take much for it to be off. I count the turns when I do tie rods so I can get it close before aligning it and it is never in spec before I align it.
Just do it right and get it aligned. Unless you want to buy new tires soon, and buy an alignment then.
