wheres is the automatictransmission filter located on/in the tranny?
how do i access it?

I have a 1998 S70 AT, It does not require filter, and the pan is not accesible.It has a magnetic bolt/ pan. I dont know about any other year models though. When I did mine last week, I drained the pan, it took right at 4 quarts to fill back to specs. Then I drove a week, and did it again, same procedure. Hope this helps
