On my 99 s70 the illumination around the center console transmission shifter doesn't light up anymore. I noticed it a month or so back, but didn't have time to look into it. Is there a fuse for this, or did something physically get broken for this to happen? Any suggestions on correcting this? I do a lot of driving at night and it does make for a slight annoyance sometimes.

 

The bulb is most likely burned out.
You need to remove the console to replace the bulb.
