Default trouble starting

hi everyone,
i have a 2000 s70se. Sometimes, it has a hard time starting. It will start and then die imediatley. I think it might be the alarm since after it dies, the red light on the dash starts blinking. the only thing that seems to help is if i turn off the daytime running lights, the ac & radio off & close the doors so the lights are off. sometimes if that dosent work i have to lock & unlock the car again. sometimes it will do it once, sometimes 20 in a row... could it be the immobilizer? i got the letter from volvo about the throttle body, could it be related??
any help/opinions would be great!
thanks, veso

Possibly the ETM (Throttle body) but I would look more towards the Immoblizer/Key.
Do you have another key you can try using for a little while to see if it stops?

It is hard to say.
The key will run you Like $100.00 or more to get.
Another thing it could be is the Antenna ring for the Immoblizer.(Light around the ignition switch.

When it happens again try taking the key out and turn it 180 Degrees and try again. The chip in the Key is placed more to one side. Sometimes it will not read when it is on one side.

You might also want to think about replacing the Antenna ring(Light around Ignition switch)

This is usually the Order the Dealer will try.
Antenna ring
New key
Immoblizer with 3 new keys

it's the antenna. everytime it dosent' start, just flip the key & it works perfect! haven't had time to replace the antenna yet, but it seems to be the problem.
Thanks, Veso
