Default Trying to get front windows working again

Over the weekend my boyfriend went to roll down the passenger side window and it wouldn't work. I then tried on the drivers side and I couldn't get it down and in turn couldn't get my drivers side to unroll. The back windows are fine - but I'd love to have the windows down with this heat.

I looked into the possibility of the fuse being blown and checked the manual and showed it would be in the main fuses. One of them looks like it might be blown, but I don't want to risk taking it out.

Looking for any tips of advice so I can get this fixed asap.

i'm kinda havin the same problem. my front passenger window won't work but the others work perfectly fine. i checked the headlights for a flicker when i push the buttons on my driver side panel and all of them are getting power except the passenger side. curretnly the window is stuck down so i'm kinda screwed when it comes to rain. i couldn't even figure out how to disengage the motor from the window itself so i could try to force the window up until i can figure out where the power is shorting out.

any body have any clues as to where to look. any places prone to a short or a wire coming loose?

Could be the switch contacts dirty so you will have to take them out and clean contacts.

My drivers window stopped working and it was the switch module in the drivers door. It's easy to replace.

My window was also stuck in the down position. So while I waited for the replacement module to ship, I took a couple of wires and McGuyvered a two-wire cable so I could directly connect the battery to the power connection of the window motor. That allowed me to get the window to close. If you do that just be extremely careful not to short out the battery. Also, you can raise or lower the window just by reversing the wires.

That's completely ingenious, and I'll have to remember that

yeah i basically managed to do the same thing today. i wrapped parts of a wire hanger around the aligator teeth of my battery charger and made direct contact to the plugs of the window motor. its not a very quick fix but until i can trace the wires back and find out why the motor isn't getting any power its good enough. i was thinking maybe for a more permanent and reversible option i could rig up a 9volt battery and mount it on the interior of the door this way i can raise or lower the window at any time as opposed to just leaving it shut
