Upgrades
I have a 2000 SE and wanted to know if adding a turbo is an option or should I just scrap and buy one with one installed. If so where do u put the intercooler? Im thinknig of switching to syn for the engine and want some inputs. Had her for 2 yrs now and am investing for life. Wanting to make her fast and cool. Can upper and lower strut mounts go bad w/o the strut being compromised?

1. Yes you can add a turbo. Here is a small list of some of the things you would need.
- Turbo
- Intercooler
- Intercooler hard pipes (Charge pipes)
- Turbo hoses (Oil or water) and vacuum lines
- Hoses between all the intercooler pipes as well
- Downpipe
- New catback
- Hose clamps or T-bolt clamps
- Boost gauge
- ECU management which is the biggest thing and the most costly. No real tunes out there to upgrade from N/A to turbo unless you dyno tune which will take time and money.
- Injectors possibly
To do it right with new parts I see you spending no less then $5k. With used parts you may get under that, but the dyno tuning is going to take your right back up.
I would honestly sell your car and purchase a turbo model. 1998 year would be the choice. You'll have many more options and a lot more fun.
