???Volo or Ford??? HELIP!
Hey,
How are you all doing? I hope that all is well.Over the last few weeks my 1998 Volvo has been giving me the S70 common problems such as rough idle, ABS/Check engine light are both on, int. lights come on when they want to etc.. anyway overall the car drives great and only has 113,000 miles and only45,000 on the new engine that I just had put in a short time ago. I personally don't have a problem with my car but my husband has a heart attack every time something goes wrong and the fact that my car eats light bulbs does not help. Well, last night my husband dropped the "S" word on me..yes SALE! Now, I would not mind selling my car although I know it is a great car and it just has a few kinks that are needed to be worked out but he wants to trade my car in for a 99
Ford Expedition [:'(]Now would I be over reacting by going to my lawyer's office and filing for divorce? j/k.. I have been trying to talk to him about just getting my car fixed but he just keep sending me pics here at work of Expeditions. I would like some opinions on if I should keep my car that I've known longer than my husband or should I just give in and get the Ford. WOW.. VOLVO or FORD.. it just does not have a nice ring to it.
Oh and by the way I just got another picture of a Ford Expedition..YAY!
Thanks

Keep the Volvo, and get a new husband.
99 was kind of a rough year for Volvo's though. It was the first year that Ford owned the company. They were great cars before Ford bought them. Around 2003 Ford got some smarts and started letting the Volvo people help with the design of Fords instead of the Ford people influencing the design of Volvo's.
If you have pictures of yourself, we may be able to hook you up with a husband that likes Volvo's.

Also you can mention depreciation and how easily the Explorer can roll over. The
pillars are not designed to support the weight of the car, so you can guess what
happens if they roll over. Also there is a high probability of fuel costs going way
up this coming year due to the increasing tension with Iran. As for the electronic
"gremlins", they are a fact of life nowdays no matter what you drive. Also why did
you have to replace the motor?

Thanks for your opinions everyone.. I am going to keep my1998 S70, but here is something new that is happening with my car. When I start my car up early in the morning it sometimes idle to low and cut off. If it is warm outside the car starts fine. I have also noticed that at stop lights it idles really low and almost cuts off. Could this be the throttle body needs cleaning? Oh, and about a year ago some creep backed into my car with a tow truck. My husband's friend fixed my car and since then my alarm does not work, the seat belt light does not come on when I start the car, the chime it makes when you first start the car does not come on anymore and the int. lights stay on if I leave the switch on to light up the inside when the door is open. Any ideas what this could be. I am guessing he did not hook something back up..who knows. Any help would be great.
Thanks
