As many of us see these antenna's 1/2 down all the time, I replaced one the other day and made a video of it to help others. This is the same for Volvo 850's, S90's, 960's, and most of the mid '90's sedans.

I purchased the part from FCP for about $16. The dealer wanted about $120.

I saved at least $55 doing it myself--and probably more b/c it would've taken the mechanic a while to disassemble the motor and pull out all the broken bits. What's even better, I'm going to get a twinge of satisfaction every time I turn the radio on and off, having fixed it myself, knowing now how it works and how easy it is to fix, and having saved a good amount of money...

 

You may have saved more than that. The dealer I know charges $245 to replace that part. I have found the mast for $15.
