Default Volvo s70 AWD 99 ETS Module

Wondering if anyone can advise about the ETS Module....the light came on and indicates in the manual that this is the Electronic Throttle Control System. Is this a sensor that I need to replace or an actual part. I read earlier about the throttle body needing replacement and the software being reset...do I need to do the OS too? Can anyone offer any information?

Ok this is a huge issue. What you got to do is this. Turn your car off and then back on. If it stays off your fine for awhile. This is what happened to me. Then a week or so later it came back on.

Now what you have to do is take it to your local Volvo dealer. As this is a dealer ONLY fix. They have to replace your Electronic Throttle System. This will cost you around $1,000 bucks.

I just did it, and it is the only way to make the light go off and stop and other damage that can happen.

I doubt it. You better just shell out the cash. I couldn't do it either, but I paid for it.

I had toreplace mine 5 months ago and I placed a claim through NHTSA (parts and labor were over a thousand).
I sure hope to get my money back from Volvo.
Anybody knows how to follow up with a claim of this nature?
Thanks

Yes you can. My ECU was upgraded before my ETS was fixed.
