Default ETS Module Volvo 99

Last night my car went from 80mph to 20mph - I could just barely get to the side of the road let alone home after 12 miles. I have read a little info on this ETS light that came on. The manual is a little confusing... ETS light means Electronic Throttle Control System. Wondering is this electrical/sensor of somesort or an actual part. Would I need to go to a dealer to get this replaced or is it something we can do ourselves. Wondering how I know if I need to replace the throttle body and that will take care of it along with the software being reset that the tech spoke of ...or what exactly I need to to and what this is going to cost me? Anyone know?

You will need to have the throttle body replaced. The software also has to be downloaded for the car to run.If you really wanted to do it your self you can install the throttle body. Then tow to the dealer ship and have them download the software.
