Does anybody know where i can see pictures of the different volvo s70 trim levels, drove by one for sale the other day and it looked sweet but am unsure what model it is. had a rear spoiler and was bright red and just said s70 on the back. I really want to buy a turbo model only and want to make sure of it before i take my time to look at it when the car dealers open.

 

I can't help you if you are in the US but i could tell you what i know about the trim levels in Europe

are you in the US?

 

The ones I know for the US are:

Base
Base SE*
GLT
GLT SE*
T5
The S70R was only available in Europe, so obviously it wasn't an R.

*SE came out in 2000 available on Base and GLT

The Turbo models came with spoilers, so the one you saw was probably a GLT or T5. Depending one where you are, a T5 is usually harder to find.
Every car had an alloy wheel option, so you won't be able to distinguish it by that.
Usually the trim level is written under the rear-passenger light.

 

Well I am in Canada, and mine is a 98 SE, so your remark about the SE coming out in 2000 is incorrect

 

The SE might have been available in Canada in 98 but it wasn't here in the states most likely.

Thusly someone should do a seperate section for the U.S., Canada and Europe. It would give a better picture of the issue at hand.

Also someone could have rebadgged your car as well.

 

in Europe we have the following:

SE (2.0 10v, 2.5 10v, 2.5 20v, 2.5T, 2.5D, 2.5TDi)
CD (2.0 10v, 2.5 10v, 2.5 20v, 2.5T, 2.5D, 2.5TDi)
T5 (2.3T)
R (2.3T)

volvo changed 2.5 to 2.4 at 1999 (altho it;s the same engine at 2435cc)

from 1999 there is no more CD level, replaced by XT
