Default what to change with the timing belt?

hey,
so my s70 t5 has 151,000 miles on it and the original oem belt on it.. idk how its lived so long actually. but i just bought the car from an older guy... anyways, the volvo dealer suggested also changing the tensioner, but a specialized independent volvo mechanic said to change the water pump.. what should i replace and where is the cheapest place to buy the parts? thanks in advance!

Water pump for sure. My indy mechanic said he's seen the water pump go after a few weeks if it's not replaced at the same time. I also did the tensioner, water pump, and serpentine belt when I had the timing belt done.

I just got my Volvo 2000 S70 SE non turbo a few weeks ago and the timing belt had never been replaced. It had 238k. Can you believe it. I had the motor mounts, cam seals, and timing belt replaced. Im about to hit 240 and shes running strong. I will one day need a new auto trans but for now I can skip 3rd gear.

Our 1998 Volvo S70 had the original timing belt until 270,000km, when the timing belt went out on the highway in rush hour traffic, and basically after that the engine was garbage. spent $4000 to get the car back on the road with another rebuilt engine with 80,000km.
Wish we had changed it before hand, but the timing belt still lasted a good 100,000km past replacement period.
Change the timing belt and all the other components, ASAP !
