Default what keeps the airbox in place?

I noticed that the box that holds the air filter isn't as stationary as it once was. After randomly coming across pictures I took when I took out the airbox to replace my ABS, I remembered there are plugs/clips on the bottom and one on the side that keep it in place.

Well, the one on the side doesn't look like it's holding anymore. How would I fix this? Does this require a new airbox, or is the clip two sided, one on the airbox side and another on the car side.

The one that goes into the fender is part of the airbox. It's just a plastic stud that goes into a rubber bushing in the fender. If the stud is broken, you need a new lower portion of the airbox, P/N 9445080 (about $80 new). If the bushing is missing you need P/N 1336404, about $6.

The drivers side of the air box has 2 post that point into the finder. The passenger side of the air box has 2 tabs with holes, under the air box there are suppose to be 2 4 prong post that stick up in it.

Wrong. Again.

rspi claims to have me blocked, so he must not have seen that I already explained this. There is only one post on the driver's side that goes into the fender, as explained above.

Well, it looks like the post on the bottom towards the back is missing now. That allows for the most movement. The stud that goes into the fender is there. Should it have prongs that allow it to clip into place? The stud looks smooth to me.

The two lower clips are the same. It should look like the other one. If the clip is broken, you can get just the clip.

yeah, based on this photo I found, http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...m/IMG_4112.jpg, I don't see the prongs of the clip coming thru the airbox mount. Not sure how that would just disappear ...

Are the 1998-2000 V70s the only other cars that have the same airbox. I might venture down to the yard for the part, and having more options would help.

850s, up to 2005 C70s, and P2s excluding the XC90 all used the same clip.

I lifted out the airbox, and the 2 clips are still there intact. The top rubber piece of the clip has gotten compressed over time, and that allows the airbox to move around a little. I assume they're cheap, so maybe I'll just replace them.

The fender post I think is just a guide. I don't think it's meant to clip in anywhere.

It doesn't clip in, but there should be a rubber grommet in the fender it slides into
