Default Additional Information.

Looking up from ground. Arrows point to leak and the bottom of the radiator.

see if you can find a parts diagram but I suspect there's a transmission (and/or oil?) cooler there that may need some new seals. Have you noticed the color/texture of the spotting to get a sense if its coolant, oil or tranny fluid? Any consumption of any of those fluids?

My fluid level in my anti freeze overflow container looses fluid ergo I suspect an antifreeze lose. I should have been more explicit in my inquiry because my question is this - is this leak location part of my radiator or is it a separate container for some other fluid? The leak does not feel like oily therefore I suspect antifreeze. I was wondering if I have to dismantle the whole radiator to solve the problem. Thanks for your assistance.

a common fail point is the seams along where the core meets the side caps - can you see any effluence along the side above your photo? If so I'd say you'd want to replace the whole radiator unit. Should not be too expensive - NIssens and Behr are the two brands to check out for an OEM replacement in the $150 range. Yes its a chore to replace the radiator as you'd need to remove the shrouds and then separate from the oil/tranny cooler etc. You'd also want to do the hoses then as well.

Does the radiator INCLUDE the transmission and oil cooler or are the transmission and oil cooler separate items? Also, What hoses do you recommend changing - the two heater hoses? Thanks for your help. I dismantled the radiator etc. It was a first time learning curve struggle but it's done.

As to the parts, what I do is look at a dealer web site to get a diagram and the factory part numbers to get an idea of how things are put together and then have a reference when shopping for parts. As to the hoses, considering the car is 25 years old, I'd replace anything rubber including radiator upper/lower and if accessible the transmission cooler lines etc. For the heater hoses, those are the ones in the back of the block that go through the firewall to the heater core. Best to check out Youtube vids for accessing the heater core if you suspect those are leaking. Not sure if your model is the same as the 850s - but I bet there's a RobertDIY vid for you on this project.

Includes, always. You can buy separate, but of course that's now how they are from the factory.

If you have an oil cooler, some years they had rubber hoses carrying the oil to the radiator, and they seep oil. If they look dry then they're "good" at least compared to what I've seen.

Is that the driver's side or passenger's side? If you have an automatic transmission, it could be ATF, but I would guess coolant. I don't think any of the cars have an oil cooler in the radiator.
