hello ive searched this site insearch to find a solution to my problem but came up with no results. i have a 1998 volvo s70 t5m and ever since i got the car in june its been whinning i changed the power steering pump three times already and the car still whines. i took the belt of and ran the engine and no noise so what else could it be im thinking maybe a pulley but im not sure. is there and common problems that could lead to this promblem ? anything would help thank you so much

Can you describe the whining? Mine does it too. It's like a high pitch and also happens when you move the steering left to right?
