Winter driving issues
This is the first winter I have had this S70. When I accelerate fom a stop in the snow or rain there is a clicking noises coming from the front wheels until they regain tracsion. Is this normal? The noise only happens when the front wheels are spinning.
Also, I had to replace the transmission selector switch because I bought the car without one (Bad move). When I press "E" or "S" the tiny light on them turn on and the button stays down while the other one comes up. HOwever, when I press "W" it does not stay down, the other buttons do not pop up, and the little light onthe button turns off as soon as I let go. Is this supposed to happen? How do I know the transmission is in winter mode?
Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thank you all in advance.

RE: Winter driving issues
the clicking noise is the traction control system, i havnt noticed the click on mine, but i will listen for it next time.
yes, the buttons being down 1 at a time is normal. and when you press W or (wet/winter mode) it doesnt stay down, but while the car is running, and in gear, press that... it will blink, and an orange arrow on your dash will be illumnated. i only use this when it is really slippery outside for take off. it shifts the transmission to 3rd for less wheel spin, and then 4th when you get to speed.
