my 1999 s70 starts up fine but then idles like sh t. dearler said it was the throttle body had it changed with a used one still the same. some one told me its the ecm. but i am not sure. does a used ecm have to be flashed to work or not. help

 

Richrod, mine is a '98 S70 base. I had idle problems for years where it would briefly act like it was going to stall (fuel to rich codes) and this got worse with time. I found a vacuum hose on the right front of the intake manifold that goes to the evap valve (I've seen other setups where this goes to a tree) was badly deteriorated. Dealer recommened replace MAF, air pump, tune up etc. Take a look as replacing a couple dollars worth of hose and couple hose clamps fixed my problem-
