I have an '02 S80 with a DIM (Speedo unit) that needs new Plexiglass (or whatever one wants to call that clear plastic-ish material that you look through).

The dealer says that this part is available-not a bad idea since the plexi is only $61 and the whole unit is $900+++++

Anyone out there done this replacement before? I'd lvoe any advice...

I know that it is just 4 screws to pull that DIM out...its just the plexi replacement I'm curious about...

what do you need advice on?

 

The plexiglass that you stare through to read your gauges while driving:I am able to buy that separate from the dealer, and need to replace that in my speedo unit. I was just wondering how difficult it is to change out. Have you done that as well?
