04 S80 ETM help
Okay guys I know that there’s probably threads for this but I’ve searched and searched and haven’t found anything on my particular car I know that the older s80’s had throttle body issues but mine is an 04, it’s been cleaned because I had to fix the PCV which had oil going into the intake. My main question is it possible that I just need a sensor and not the whole throttle body it’s throwing the Throttle pedal position fault circuit F code. From what I’ve read on the 99-02 everyone says they’ve never had a sensor or pedal fix the issue that it was always the throttle body, I’ve already invested nearly $2k into this car in the last 4 months and don’t want to add another $600-$900, thank you for any info.
Hoonk thanks for the response I haven’t been able to find any kind of manual on this car and everything has been a nightmare to track down lol, the code it’s throwing is P2131 (Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch F Circuit Range/Performance). I’ve noticed at highway speeds in its highest gear it seems to start bucking the throttle around the same time usually around 1500 to 2000 rpm going around 55 to 60 mph. Idle is perfect, slow driving is perfect it’s only at highway speeds.
On the internet - find, download and install the stolen and hacked version of VIDA 2014D. That's the factory service manual. Anything you need to know is there. If you have a DICE unit you can plug in and VIDA will read your codes and give suggestion as to what the cause might be. A cloned chinese DICE unit is ~$85.
You might find it or someone that hosts it in the OBD section of Swedespeed
This guy - cleaned his air mass meter to solve that code

Thank you for the info, I will reread codes tomorrow because it’s getting worse and worse every day. I will post what codes it shows me, again I have the iCarsoft scan tool it’s nothing advanced but it WILL read the individual systems I select.
