Sorry if this is a bit long . This is my first car that was built post 80's the other night my window/lock controls just stopped in the middle of a trip i opened and closed the door and that solved the issue. the next day they would only work if the car was on and door was open. any idea on what to look for? i took the panel off checked the connects
the manual lock was a pain to get lined up and i noticed a rubber circle "cap" im not 100% on what the right position for the lock is supposed to be .
the folding mirrors also stopped working around the same time related?

 

Could be broken wires where they bend every time you move the door.

 

okay ill give that a check right now. The clips on the door panel and the lock rod thing are going to be frustrating.

The bendy part of the harness unplugs from the door. Why take the door panel off?

 

when i bought the car the dealer was replacing the window controls . put the panel on after the test drive the panel came off when i closed the door (i slammed it ) i got the issue fixed i think just the anchors keep popping out . had the car for about a year and the panel would drop the first few months .

 

oh the dealer was replacing the window switch . but a fuse was blown . over all i love this car besides the parking alerts
