Default 1999 S80 2.9 Throttle Body Replacement

Hello,

In December, I posted about a throttle body issue. It turns out that I need to replace my throttle body...

Someone had posted a link to a site where I could get a throttle body with the software on it already for $700 and I cannot find that post. I have a feeling that it has been deleted... The last post that I see is on 1/11/12 and my post was back in December. If that person could repost that link again, I would be very grateful!

Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for! Sorry for the over excitement, I am just excited to get my car working again.

Thanks again!

Np, this vid shows how to clean one but pretty much all the same steps to replace. He leaves the plug attached, replacement will require detach/reattaching but that is no big deal. I didn't disconnect the battery, didn't seem to hurt anything but maybe I was lucky?

Yes I know this video well. My question is... How do you get that @#£%& (lol) air supply hose off? It is a pain in the rear because you have to do it half blind! Any suggestions? Would using a mirror help? I tried it once (without the mirror) and I was almost convinced that I could not get it all put back together. I did, but I had to put it back on very slowly, making sure everything was going back together correctly.

I did use a mirror for parts of the swap. I also took the entire airbox and pipes out which let me move the lower pipe around with enough leverage to fit it back on. Akward body position seemed to be required.
