1999 S80 Defroster Relay Missing?
I recently purchased a one owner S80 that was well maintained by a volvo dealer since new. Going through some small issues I noticed this winter the rear defroster wasn't working. I checked wires on the grid, continuity etc and found no obvious issues. Note mirrors do defrost.
I came across a volvo wiring manual and traced the relay to the rear hidden trunk fuse panel. There seems to be a missing 2/82 relay in location RMA3. There is a relay in RMA1. I show 12v at the #5 by the battery so the circuit has power. Is it possible someone at the dealership pulled that relay for some other reason? Are these a universal relay? What is the replacement part number for this relay?
I pulled the relay from RMA1 and swapped it into RMA3 to see if the window heated up, but didn't see any difference. I haven't had time yet to trace power but wanted to see if there was a relay in another location.
Thanks for any advice!
