Default 2000 S-80 Persistent codes P1618 +P0751

I keep getting these 2 codes and cant find any info on P1618, but 0751 is a shift solenoid. Does anyone have any ideas how to alleviate this problem? Thanks

Hi,
My 1999 S80 is bringing up the same codes when Driven in "D", not throw any codes when driven in "3" did you fix the trans or have to replace it?

Thanks

Hi ROJO,

I haven't done anything yet, I am not sure if this is not an electrical problem, maybe TCM. There are times when after resetting codes the trans works fine shifting all four gears, but I am also getting ABS and STC and brake warnings. I believe its all electronic. Whenever I figure it out I'll let you know.

Mine will drive perfectly all day if left in 3, when shifting into "D" from 3 it does not attempt to shift into 4th at all but it does unlock the converter then after around 10 seconds with go into limp mode, I think with my car it may be a line pressure issue as I was told the solenoid was already changed.

Rojo,

I have the exact problem you had last year. Was yours ever resolved?
