I have a Volvo S80 2000 turbo, about two months ago I had a flat tire and called a wrecker truck to get towed to a tire shop. when I got back in my car it was running verry rough. The air condition was blowing hot air, the temperature gauge was not working and in the message box is stated service engine urgent and when I go to drive it takes off slow at first and then starts to speed up and cuts off often. before the wrecker truck it was running with no problems. do anyone have any suggestions!

 

well, my first suggestion is to post this in the S80 forum rather than the 240/740/940 forum on a thread about a problem with idling on a 240. I'll move this message and my reply to that forum...

If you're getting a 'service urgent' message, the car should not be driven at all until a qualified mechanic with the Volvo diagnostic equipment has analyzed it and determined why the computer is so unhappy.
