This is my moms car and shes having a few problems for the past 6 months maybe you guys can help me with. The car doesnt want to stay started at all. It loved to die unless I had the car over 3k rpms for most of the driving time. When it did die it started right back up and as long as it was gunned it would be ok. It made a gasping noice like it wanted to stay startedbut something was choking it. Well now a month or so its wont stay started for more than 3 seconds. Totally undriveable. It has the 2.9 motor with about 80k. It has ben to the shop a few time they blame it on the MAF which has ben replaced twice.

What codes are in the engine module?

 

Im not sure its been a while since ive been in the car. I dont think any off hand Ill ask tomorrow. She took it to another shop and they said its the tb and the the throttle straddler body also? Which is some how over under warranty even though it was 80k n a 2000. Does that sem right to cover it?

 

The throttle body is covered for 10 years and 200k miles if it is bad and you are in the U.S. I think canada covers it as well.
