the sunroof went out in my s80 a couple of months ago. It is not driven often so i didnt worry about it. I went in the car today after not being in it for about 2 weeks and the passenger side floor was drenched in water. After doing some research i figured it was the sunroof drain clogging up. my problem is that while i took down the headliner and found the drain, I cant find where it goes to. While the headliner was down i decided to take out the sunroof motor and relay and i was also wondering if there was any way to test the motor while not hooked up to the car. thanks for your input

 

Find the drain and spray compressed air through it to unclog. A new motor probably wouldn't cost too much. Ebay I think starts at 50bucks. Or go to salvage yard most places charge 10 for a motor, but you take a risk not working. Can't help you on testing it, maybe try replacing relay to see if that's the problem
