Hey. It's about to be winter, getting cold out there.

Just wondering how high boost can be in a 2000 S80 T6 with stock internals...

 

I think most chips raise it to about 14-15 psi. I'm pretty sure the engine can handle it, but the turbos might be a bit small for anything higher than 15. And then there's the poor transmission you'd have to worry about. I don't know of anyone who's raised it above what a chip does, so I don't know for sure.

 

15 PSI!!! thats a lot, the car must fly after being chipped! im surprised the engine can hanlde that

 

Well, ipdusa's chip pushes it to 19. And they say you don't have to anything but upgrade your ecu. So no changes to your engine are needed.

And stock is 12 psi. How much faster would 15 psi be?

 

Good luck with the transmission... May not be able to take that much power and torque.Can make around 300hp. If u upgrade ECU make sure the software itself have torque reduction function build in when shifting gears to prevent too much load on transmission.

From everywhere I've read... stock is set at 9 psi and some people have spikes to about 12 psi.
