So I just purchased a 2000 Volvo S80 with the non turbo motor. what transmission is in my car? i would get in it and count the gears but it doesnt work now. lol. I had the codes read by a Volvo dealer and they came back with a TCm000B Shift Solenoid S1. I am very mechanically competent and willing to take on the task myself. which solenoid is required to fix this issue. does anyone have the Part Number? I am considering replacing all the solenoids and harness and be done with it. Also what fluid will i need to use? Dexron VI? if anyone has a write up or how to get to these solenoids please feel free to chime in. thanks.

 

is it the 2.8?

 

i believe its the 2.9 non turbo.

 

should be the GM 4T65

Last fall I had a new trans filter put in since I didn't know if/when it had ever been changed - AAMCO did it and said no problem on future service, etc since it is a pretty common GM item.
