Just picked up this 2003 S80 with 87k miles for a great deal since the front struts are worn. Found a great Volvo mechanic he said he would replace them with Sachs struts for $700 with labor. Or my own for $350 including a wheel alignment.

 

You can`t beat the OEM Boge or Sachs for price or longevity

 

Early S80's were designed with a more plush ride than other Volvos and the struts they came with were a big part of that. Decide on the type of ride you want. then choose a strut.
