Default 2004 s80 alarm.....but sunroof works!!!!

Hey guys....

Yes its that service alarm required again! But heres whats funny. The sunroof still works...doors lock... light flashes. Tried resetting by unhooking battery cables and clamping them together for fifteen minutes to reset computer. Even rolled window down and set alarm and opened door.... no horn or siren. Got a new alarm siren on hold but guy dont want to sell to me cause he said it might not be the problem cause my sunroof and overhead lights work. Any ideas before I make purchase or take to dealer.

... confused cause most write ups in here state that their sunroof dont work after it goes.... could it still be that alarm siren??

Thanks for any input guys!

i would see what code is in it for the alarm computer. You will need a scanner to do it im pretty sure.

Got a scanner....told me that it "passed". No codes found. Hhmmmm wonder if it would hurt to change out siren alarm? Thanks for any feedback.

yeah i dont think the engine computer has to much to do with the alarm system the fault codes should be in the central electronic module. you need an enhanced aftermarket scanner or a dealer scanner to access the other modules get the code / codes and go from there.
