2004 S80 Passenger Seat
Hello,
My passenger seat does not power forward, back, up or down anymore. It's stuck in 1 spot. The heated seats still work. At the same time the seat stopped moving, my radio died. I brought my car to Volvo and they said the radio was connected to the seat and I had to buy a new OEM radio for $670 installed. Seems odd that the radio is connected like that. They claimed by playing around with the fuses they got the seat to move, but when I picked it up it wasn't moving (i didn't opt for the new radio at the moment) Does this sound like a brand new radio is the case? If i put cd in the player and hit the eject button, the cd player sucks in the cd and if i hit eject again it spits it out. So there is power to it, just no music or display works.
Any Suggestions or help would be great.

hmm i never heard of it..but there might be some kind of module under the seat i guess. Also whenever there is any problem always check with the basics. look under the seat and see it you find something odd. Then look the owners manual to identify the fuse box for seats and radio and check the fuses. Sometimes disconnecting (for like 10-15 mins) and reconnecting the battery might do something??? but be careful to follow the correct procedure on how to disconnect and reconnect. Volvos for some reason have complicated method. Or just ask the dealer on how its done
