My brother recently passed away and I need to sell his car. I know nothing about Volvos and would like some help with its resale value. It's a 2007 S80 awd v8 with @165,000 miles and is in pretty good condition. No body damage other than the paint is fading on the bumpers. I believe it needs a motor mount replaced, the check engine light is on, but it's in good mechanical condition. The interior in okay shape. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Start with a site like kbb.com and use their "my car's value" wizard. Sounds like the car is in "fair" condition but if you fix the CEL and motor mounts and do some interior detailing you may bump up to "good". Next is to search nationally using sites like Autotrader.com to see if there are similar models for sale and what they list as.

 

First off, I am sorry about the loss of your brother.

Depending on location etc I may be interested, I am looking for a V8 s80 and don’t mind doing some work.
also, I can provide some feedback as well as I have been looking at many different S80s that are for sale (I also own a 2008 S80 T6)
